Hands up everyone - who loved VeggieTales as a kid?

OK, so technically, not me, because I discovered them as a teenager. And loved them just the same! I hear they're revamping the show . . . haven't seen the new episodes. Hope they're not awful.

Anyway, I'm hoping that the extended edition of The Battle of Five Armies will explain a bit more about the randomly appearing and disappearing mountain goats. I have less hope that it will explain about the disappearing armor. And seriously, WHERE ARE THEIR HELMETS?!?! That was lovely symbolism when Thorin threw away his crown, but the thing was metal and pretty solid looking. I'd have skipped the symbolism and kept the head protection. EDIT: Well, at least it explained where the goats came from. That was something. And the explanation about the armor was about what I expected - the actors lost too much range of motion and the helmets hid their faces, making them less recognizable. I would still like to point out that in real medieval warfare, people found ways around both those problems.
